Vodka Rosemary Spritzer

I always find it fun to have a signature cocktail when you are entertaining. It makes it easier for your guests when you serve a cocktail and beer or wine. Not to mention it is more cost effective.

This vodka cocktail is a simple, refreshing fall spritzer. This recipe works great if you are mixing up a few cocktails or creating an entire pitcher for an easy self service.

Ingredients:

Cocktail (serves 4):

4 oz vodka
2 oz lemon juice
4 oz rosemary simple syrup
Club soda
Rosemary, for garnish
Lemon peel, for garnish

Rosemary Simple Syrup:

1/2 cup water
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 oz fresh rosemary

Directions:

Cocktail:

Combine all ingredients in a shaker over ice. Shake to combine. Serve in low ball glasses over ice with a lemon peel and rosemary sprig.

Rosemary Simple Syrup:

In a small saucepan combine sugar and water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Stir occasionally. Once simmering remove from heat, add rosemary, and cover. Let rosemary steep in simple syrup for 15 minutes. Do not remove lid while steeping. Store simple syrup in fridge for up to one month. Remove all leaves from rosemary when storing.
